Join us for Lexington Park Holly Days on Saturday, December 7, and Sunday, December 8, 2024. This event is presented by the Lexington Park Business Association and St. Mary's Community Development Corporation. A Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on Saturday, December 7 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
On Sunday, December 8, from 1 to 4 p.m., a free Holly Days Extravaganza will be open to the public both in and around the Lexington Park library! This event will feature pictures with Santa, arts and crafts for all ages, a vendor shopping experience, carolers from St. Maries Choral Arts, and festive decorations!

Cedar Point is excited to take part in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Nu Zeta Omega Chapter & IPSMC Finacial Wellness Expo. The event will be on October 26th, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Westlake High School (3300 Middletown Rd, Waldorf, MD). The Financial Wellness Expo will bring together professionals, experts, and organizations dedicated to helping individuals improve their financial health. The event will feature informative sessions and networking opportunities designed to educate and empower attendees to make sound financial decisions.

Halloween in the Square

Cedar Point is excited to support Halloween In The Square with Reach Back & Lift 1. The event will be on October 26th, 2024, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the St. Mary’s Square Shopping Center (21600 Great Mills Rd, Lexington Park, MD 20653). This event started as a way to provide a safe and wholesome place for local families to trick-or-treat during daylight hours. This outdoor event will feature Trick or treating with local businesses, food, and special appearances from C3Wrestling, fire trucks, and more!

CalvertHealth Foundation Breast Cancer 5k

Cedar Point is thrilled to support Calvert Health Foundation’s Sheldon E. Goldberg Center for Breast Health and will participate in the 5k the Foundation is hosting on October 19th, 2024. This is an excellent opportunity to support the community while connecting with friends and family for a great cause. The 5k starts the event at 8:30 a.m., with fun superlatives, prizes, and more to follow.
All proceeds raised go towards cancer research and care for foundation patients. Online registration is currently closed. Register for the run here.

Blue Crab Fun Run

Cedar Point is thrilled to support Hospice of the Chesapeake and will participate in the Blue Crab Fun Run on October 5, 2024 at Regency Stadium, Home of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Hospice of the Chesapeake is committed to providing the highest quality care for all, regardless of their inability to pay. The 5K starts at 9 a.m., with music, local vendors and food trucks, and fun activities to follow!
All proceeds from the Blue Crab Fun Run will go towards providing Hospice care to Hospice of the Chesapeake patients. Register for the run here.

RiverFest

Cedar Point is excited to support the St. Mary's River Watershed Association's RiverFest. RiverFest will be held on September 28th, 2024, at Historic St. Mary's City Museum (47418 Old State House Road St. Mary's City , 20686) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
RiverFest celebrates the beauty and serenity of the St. Mary's River. Enjoy Live music, Try your hand at kayaking and seining, watch oyster tonging demonstrations, tour tall ships, and enjoy free admission to the Historic St. Mary's City Museum, where you can visit exhibits about local flora and fauna.

Taste of St. Mary’s

Join us on September 28th at the Square in Historic Leonardtown for a journey through the vibrant flavors of our region at the annual Taste of St. Mary’s. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Local restaurants, food trucks, and specialty food and beverage businesses come together to showcase the dishes that capture the essence of St. Mary’s diverse food scene.
Samples of local food and beverage specialties and free entertainment and activities for kids will be available for purchase. Admission and parking are free, and you can win gift certificates from area restaurants and caterers.

Annual Meeting

Come see us at the 100th annual Charles County Fair! The fair runs from Thursday evening, September 12, through Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Charles County Fair Grounds (8844 Fairgrounds Rd., La Plata, MD).
The Charles County Fair celebrates and highlights the county’s rich agricultural history. Enjoy the exhibits and live music, chow down at the various food vendors, and have a blast at the carnival. We look forward to seeing you there!

Teddy Bear Drive

Between June 6 and September 6, Cedar Point will support a Teddy Bear Drive! All Donations will benefit Children's National Hospital. Donations can be dropped off at any Cedar Point branch. Items being accepted include stuffed animals, books, toys, and coloring books. All Items must be new and in original packaging.

Shred Day
Saturday, June 8th, 2024
On Saturday, June 8th from 9 am to noon, Bring your box of outdated financial records to Cedar Point's Headquarter Office to dispose of them safely. We'll have a shred truck on site. Drive up, drop your paper to be shredded, and we'll handle the rest! The security of your documents is always at the top of our minds. Credit union employees will be here to ensure that these documents are shredded during the event.
We can shred up to five boxes per vehicle. Paper only, please. Remove binder clips, rubber bands, and staples.

Juneteenth Celebration

Join us on June 15th for the Unified Committee for Afro-American Contributions (UCAC) 20th Annual Juneteenth Celebration at John G. Lancaster Park on Willows Road in Lexington Park! The event is a free, family-friendly celebration of African American Cultural Heritage from noon to 7 pm. Bring the entire family for a day filled with live music, workshops, kid’s activities, exhibits, speakers, food, and vendors. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and small tents or umbrellas.

Coat Drive
October 23rd, 2023 to December 30th, 2023
In preparation for shorter days and lower temperatures, Cedar Point will be holding a coat drive from October 23rd to December 30th, 2023. We will collect gently used coats and other winter clothes like hats, gloves, and scarves at all Cedar Point branches. Collected clothing will be distributed to several organizations across Southern Maryland this holiday season.
