Book Drive

March 24, 20205 to May 3, 2025

We're hosting a book drive in support of Citizens for the Charles County Public Library, Inc. We are accepting the following items:

  • New or Gently Used paperback books
  • New or Gently used hardback books
  • DVDs
  • Blu-Rays

We cannot accept the following items: VHS Tapes, Audio Books on Cassettes, Magazines, Textbooks, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, Encyclopedias, Items with mold or mildew. We will be accepting donations until Saturday, May 3, 2025, so drop off at your nearest branch!

Healthy Finances Workshop: Credit 101

The workshop is geared towards members aiming to improve or establish their credit. We'll cover what makes up a Credit Score, how you can improve or maintain your Credit Score, and what good credit does for you!

When: Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.
Where: Lexington Park Library located at 21677 Franklin Delano Roosevelt Blvd, Lexington Park, MD 20653

This is a free, in-person, interactive workshop open to the public. Registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.

Shred Day

Saturday, May 10, 2025

On Saturday, May 10th from 9 a.m. to noon, Bring your box of outdated financial records to Cedar Point's Headquarter Office to dispose of them safely. We'll have a shred truck on site. Drive up, drop your paper to be shredded, and we'll handle the rest! The security of your documents is always at the top of our minds. Credit union employees will be here to ensure that these documents are shredded during the event.

We can shred up to five boxes per vehicle. Paper only, please. Remove binder clips, rubber bands, and staples.

Wedding Expo

Cedar Point is excited participate in Historic St. Mary's City's Wedding Expo. The event will be on March 2, 2025, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the The Reconstructed State House (47418 Old State House Rd., St. Mary's City, MD, 20686). The Wedding Expo features an amazing selection of wedding professionals ready to help you find the perfect gown, reception venue, invitations, photographer, music, menu, honeymoon destination, and much more! 

This event is free with pre registration or $5 at the door.

Healthy Finances Workshop: Credit 101

Santa & Mrs. Claus visit the Credit Union

Santa and Mrs. Claus are stopping by Cedar Point's headquarters for a visit! On December 7th, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., members are invited to come and take pictures with them before they head back to the North Pole.

Lexington Park Holly Days 

Saturday, December 7, and Sunday, December 8, 2024

Join us for Lexington Park Holly Days on Saturday, December 7, and Sunday, December 8, 2024. This event is presented by the Lexington Park Business Association and St. Mary's Community Development Corporation. A Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on Saturday, December 7 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

On Sunday, December 8, from 1 to 4 p.m., a free Holly Days Extravaganza will be open to the public both in and around the Lexington Park library! This event will feature pictures with Santa, arts and crafts for all ages, a vendor shopping experience, carolers from St. Maries Choral Arts, and festive decorations!

Financial Wellness Expo

Cedar Point is excited to take part in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Nu Zeta Omega Chapter & IPSMC Finacial Wellness Expo.  The event will be on October 26th, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Westlake High School (3300 Middletown Rd, Waldorf, MD). The Financial Wellness Expo will bring together professionals, experts, and organizations dedicated to helping individuals improve their financial health. The event will feature informative sessions and networking opportunities designed to educate and empower attendees to make sound financial decisions.

Halloween in the Square

Cedar Point is excited to support Halloween In The Square with Reach Back & Lift 1. The event will be on October 26th, 2024, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the St. Mary’s Square Shopping Center (21600 Great Mills Rd, Lexington Park, MD 20653). This event started as a way to provide a safe and wholesome place for local families to trick-or-treat during daylight hours. This outdoor event will feature Trick or treating with local businesses, food, and special appearances from C3Wrestling, fire trucks, and more!

CalvertHealth Foundation Breast Cancer 5k

Saturday, October 19, 2024

Cedar Point is thrilled to support Calvert Health Foundation’s Sheldon E. Goldberg Center for Breast Health and will participate in the 5k the Foundation is hosting on October 19th, 2024. This is an excellent opportunity to support the community while connecting with friends and family for a great cause. The 5k starts the event at 8:30 a.m., with fun superlatives, prizes, and more to follow.

All proceeds raised go towards cancer research and care for foundation patients. Online registration is currently closed. Register for the run here.

Blue Crab Fun Run

Saturday, October 5, 2024

Cedar Point is thrilled to support Hospice of the Chesapeake and will participate in the Blue Crab Fun Run on October 5, 2024 at Regency Stadium, Home of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Hospice of the Chesapeake is committed to providing the highest quality care for all, regardless of their inability to pay. The 5K starts at 9 a.m., with music, local vendors and food trucks, and fun activities to follow!

All proceeds from the Blue Crab Fun Run will go towards providing Hospice care to Hospice of the Chesapeake patients. Register for the run here.

 

 

RiverFest

Cedar Point is excited to support the St. Mary's River Watershed Association's RiverFest. RiverFest will be held on September 28th, 2024, at Historic St. Mary's City Museum (47418 Old State House Road St. Mary's City , 20686) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

RiverFest celebrates the beauty and serenity of the St. Mary's River. Enjoy Live music, Try your hand at kayaking and seining, watch oyster tonging demonstrations, tour tall ships, and enjoy free admission to the Historic St. Mary's City Museum, where you can visit exhibits about local flora and fauna.

Taste of St. Mary’s 

Saturday, September 28, 2024

Join us on September 28th at the Square in Historic Leonardtown for a journey through the vibrant flavors of our region at the annual Taste of St. Mary’s. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Local restaurants, food trucks, and specialty food and beverage businesses come together to showcase the dishes that capture the essence of St. Mary’s diverse food scene.

Samples of local food and beverage specialties and free entertainment and activities for kids will be available for purchase. Admission and parking are free, and you can win gift certificates from area restaurants and caterers.

 

 

Annual Meeting

Wednesday, September 25th, 2024

Cedar Point Federal Credit Union® is hosting our Annual Membership Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department on September 25, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. Each year, this event informs members of the progress we made the previous year and what we have in store for the year to come. 

Enjoy light hors d'oeuvres, snag some giveaways, and enter for raffle prizes! Please RSVP at your nearest branch if you plan on attending.
